FPIs Invest Rs 15,352 Crore in Indian Equities in July
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have injected a significant Rs 15,352 crore into Indian equities during the first half of July, reflecting confidence in the Indian market. This investment surge is attributed to the government’s commitment to ongoing reforms, favorable low US Federal rates, and robust domestic demand.
Himanshu Srivastava, Associate Director – Manager Research at Morningstar Investment Research India, noted that the upcoming Union Budget is highly anticipated by foreign investors, who are keen to understand the government’s plans for economic growth.
According to data from the depositories, FPIs recorded a net inflow of Rs 15,352 crore in equities as of July 12. This robust investment demonstrates the positive sentiment among foreign investors towards India’s economic prospects.
With the Union Budget on the horizon, market watchers are closely monitoring how government policies will shape the investment landscape and influence further foreign investments in the Indian equity market.
