Essar Renewables to Invest ₹8,000 Crore in 2GW Renewable Energy Projects in Maharashtra

Essar Renewables Ltd has announced a significant step in India’s renewable energy journey, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government to develop 2GW of renewable energy projects. The investment, estimated at ₹8,000 crore, aims to support green mobility initiatives while boosting the state’s renewable energy capacity.
The MoU was signed during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, highlighting Maharashtra’s growing appeal as a hub for sustainable development. This ambitious project is expected to generate direct employment for over 2,000 individuals, contributing to both economic growth and the state’s transition to green energy.
