CM Urges Sacrifice, Compassion on Good Friday

Odisha CM Urges People to Uphold Values of Sacrifice and Compassion on Good Friday
On the solemn occasion of Good Friday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi called upon people to reflect on and uphold the core values of sacrifice, compassion, and selfless service.

In a message shared on social media platform X, the Chief Minister said, “Let us honour the values of sacrifice, compassion, and selfless service. May the day inspire us to uphold peace, empathy and humanity.”

Good Friday is observed by Christians across the world to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, a day marked by prayer, fasting, and reflection on his message of love and forgiveness.

CM Majhi’s message aimed at encouraging unity and moral responsibility resonated with the significance of the day. He emphasized the importance of fostering empathy and peace in society, especially during times of global unrest and growing individualism.

Churches across Odisha held special services to mark the occasion, with people attending prayers and processions in memory of Christ’s suffering and ultimate sacrifice
