Majhi Invites Orind Singapore to Invest in Odisha’s Bio-Fertilizer Sector
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, during his ongoing official visit to Singapore, extended an invitation to Orind Singapore Pte Ltd to establish a bio-fertilizer manufacturing unit in Odisha.
Leading a high-level delegation on a four-day investment promotion mission, Majhi met with Ravin Jhunjhunwala, Chairman of Orind Singapore Pte Ltd, on Sunday. The Chief Minister highlighted Odisha’s strategic advantages, including its rich agricultural base, robust infrastructure, and investor-friendly policies.
During the meeting, Majhi assured Jhunjhunwala of comprehensive support from the state government, including expedited clearances, favorable land allotments, and logistical assistance to ensure a seamless setup of the proposed unit.
“Odisha is committed to becoming a hub for sustainable industries. We offer a conducive environment for investments in the bio-fertilizer sector, which will not only boost agricultural productivity but also contribute to environmental sustainability,” Majhi said, according to an official statement.
Jhunjhunwala expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities in Odisha and appreciated the state’s proactive approach to fostering industrial growth.
The visit to Singapore marks a significant step in Odisha’s efforts to attract global investments across diverse sectors, aligning with the government’s vision to transform the state into an industrial and economic powerhouse.
The Chief Minister’s delegation will also engage with other potential investors and participate in business forums to showcase Odisha’s investment potential.
