Chennai Grand Masters: Erigaisi Faces Gujarathi in Opening Round
World No. 4 Indian chess grandmaster and top seed Arjun Erigaisi is set to begin his campaign at the Chennai Grand Masters on Tuesday, facing compatriot Vidit Gujarathi in the opening round. This marks Erigaisi’s first tournament in India since achieving the historic milestone of surpassing the 2800 ELO ranking mark.
The Chennai Grand Masters features a competitive lineup of eight players in a classical format.
