Budget 2026 boosts India’s Ayush ecosystem

Budget 2026 strengthens Ayush ecosystem: Prataprao Jadhav

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush Shri Prataprao Jadhav on Sunday said the Union Budget 2026 has placed Ayush at the centre of India’s integrative healthcare vision, giving a major boost to the country’s traditional systems of medicine.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Minister said the Budget announcements would significantly strengthen the Ayush ecosystem through enhanced institutional support, research, education and global outreach.

Jadhav noted that the Ayush sector has witnessed unprecedented institutional growth and international recognition under the leadership of the Prime Minister. He said Budget 2026 reinforces the government’s commitment to integrating traditional medicine systems such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy with modern healthcare.

According to the Minister, the renewed focus on Ayush will improve accessibility, quality healthcare delivery and promote India’s rich medical heritage globally, while also generating employment and innovation in the sector.

The Budget, he added, marks a decisive step towards building a holistic, inclusive and preventive healthcare framework for the country.
