Bangladeshi Intruder Scales Wall, Attacks Saif Ali Khan in Mumbai Apartment

In a shocking incident, a Bangladeshi national allegedly scaled the boundary wall of actor Saif Ali Khan’s residential building in Bandra during the early hours of January 16 and attacked him inside his apartment. The accused, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir alias Vijay Das (30), reportedly entered the premises after finding the security guards asleep.

The Mumbai Police recreated the crime scene on Tuesday at the Satguru Sharan building, where Khan resides. Investigations revealed that the accused climbed the compound wall of the 12-floor building, bypassing security. Once inside, he made his way to the main entrance, taking advantage of the unalerted guards.

The intruder allegedly stabbed Khan, 54, multiple times inside his apartment. Authorities are yet to confirm the motive behind the attack. Khan, who sustained injuries, is undergoing treatment and is reported to be stable.

Police sources stated that the accused is a Bangladeshi national who entered India illegally and had been residing in the country under a false identity. The incident has raised serious concerns about the security protocols of residential complexes in the city.

Mumbai Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangre Patil assured that a thorough investigation is underway and security measures in the area will be revisited to prevent such incidents. The building’s management is also being questioned regarding the lapse in security.

This alarming incident has left the city shaken and highlighted the need for enhanced vigilance to ensure the safety of residents in high-profile areas.
