Another weekend, another pole for Indian racer Atiqa Mir

Indian racer Atiqa Mir continued her stunning run of form, securing her second consecutive pole position before clinching a Heat win in Round 2 of the RMC UAE Karting Championship held at the Al Forsan Circuit.

Fresh from a pole and podium finish in the Formula 1-backed COTFA series last week, the Formula 1 Academy-supported racer seamlessly adapted to a new karting setup, delivering blistering pace throughout the weekend. Mir is the first Indian to receive support from Formula 1.

During the Official Practice sessions, the young racer topped three of the four outings and registered the fastest lap of the day in a fiercely competitive grid featuring top international drivers. She also stood out as the only female competitor in the field.

Mir’s consistent performances over the past two weeks continue to underline her rising stature in international motorsport and reinforce her reputation as one of India’s brightest racing prospects.
