MUMBAI: Renowned filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker has been appointed as the chairperson of the International Jury for the 2024 International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which will be held in Goa from November 20 to 28.
Gowariker, who is celebrated for his iconic films like Lagaan, Jodhaa Akbar, and Swades, expressed his honor in being associated with the prestigious event. “Cinema is constantly evolving with the times, and there’s no better place to witness this evolution than at a film festival. The International Film Festival of India stands as a beacon of this transformation, and I am honored to be a part of it,” he said in a statement.
As the chairperson of the International Jury, Gowariker will play a significant role in evaluating and selecting the films that will be showcased at IFFI 2024, highlighting the dynamic shifts in global cinema.
