Anupam Kher Calls Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 a Work of “Magical Brilliance”


New Delhi, Oct 6: Veteran actor Anupam Kher has joined the growing list of admirers showering praise on Rishab Shetty’s latest cinematic marvel, Kantara: Chapter 1. Having watched the film with his family, Kher described the prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara as an experience of “magical brilliance.”

Taking to X, Kher shared his heartfelt reaction, writing, “Dearest @shetty_rishab! Just watched Kantara with my mom, brother, Herman, and Phalguni! I am S P E E C H L E S S! I wish I had more words to describe your and your entire team’s magical brilliance! May Lord Ram bless you. Jai Ho to you all!”

The actor also posted a video featuring his family members, who could be seen expressing how deeply the film moved them. Responding to the post, director and lead actor Rishab Shetty thanked Kher for his kind words and appreciation.

Released on October 2, Kantara: Chapter 1 serves as a prequel to the original hit, exploring the origins of Daiva worship in Tulunadu, set against the backdrop of the 4th-century Kadamba dynasty. Shetty plays Berme, a fierce guardian of the Kantara forest and its tribal community, as the narrative unfolds around a gripping conflict between the local tribals and a royal family seeking control over their sacred land.

The film features an ensemble cast including Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram, along with standout performances by Rakesh Poojari, Hariprashanth MG, Deepak Rai Panaje, Shaneel Gautham, and Naveen Bondel.

Produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under the Hombale Films banner, Kantara: Chapter 1 continues to draw packed audiences across India. With its stunning visuals, cultural richness, and emotionally charged storytelling, the film has cemented its place as one of the year’s most acclaimed cinematic experiences.
