Amitabh Bachchan Proudly Cheers Agastya Nanda

Amitabh Bachchan Sends Heartfelt Wishes to Grandson Agastya Nanda for ‘Ikkis’: “You Are Special”

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has penned an emotional message for his grandson Agastya Nanda, extending his best wishes for his upcoming war drama “Ikkis.” The veteran actor expressed immense pride in seeing Agastya continue the family’s cinematic legacy with his second feature film.

The trailer of “Ikkis”—directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan and produced by Maddock Films—was released on Wednesday. The film is based on the real-life story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest wartime gallantry award.

Sharing the trailer on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Amitabh Bachchan wrote,

“Agastya! I held you in my hands as soon as you were born… a few months later, I held you again and your soft fingers reached out to play with my beard. And now to see you on screen is such a moment of immense pride and joy. You are special, my love… bring glory to the name you carry.”

Fans and industry colleagues have since flooded social media with love and appreciation for the emotional post, lauding Bachchan’s touching words and cheering for Agastya’s performance glimpsed in the trailer.

“Ikkis” marks Agastya Nanda’s second big-screen appearance after his debut in “The Archies.” The war drama is slated for a theatrical release later this year, promising a powerful blend of emotion, courage, and sacrifice.
