Amin Patel Appointed as Congress’s Deputy Leader in Maharashtra Assembly

The Congress has appointed senior leader and four-time MLA Amin Patel as the party’s deputy leader in the Maharashtra legislative assembly. The announcement was made through an official party statement on Saturday.

In addition to Patel’s appointment, the party named Amit Deshmukh as its chief whip in the assembly. Vishwanath Kadam has been designated as the secretary of the party’s assembly group, while Shirish Naik and Sanjay Meshram have been appointed as whips.

Patel, a key leader of the Mumbai Congress, represents the Mumbadevi constituency and has been a four-time legislator. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the party’s leadership in the state assembly.

The new appointments come as the Congress looks to bolster its presence and coordination within the Maharashtra legislature ahead of key political developments in the state.
