Air India resumes Delhi–Tel Aviv flights

Air India to Resume Direct Delhi–Tel Aviv Flights from January 2026: Israel Tourism Ministry
In a move set to strengthen travel and trade ties between India and Israel, Air India will resume its direct flight service between New Delhi and Tel Aviv starting January 1, 2026, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced on Wednesday.
According to the ministry, the relaunch of this key international route will significantly enhance air connectivity, fostering greater tourism and economic exchange between the two nations.
The national carrier will operate five weekly flights—from Sunday to Thursday—using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, known for its advanced comfort and fuel efficiency.
The direct connection is expected to boost visitor traffic in both directions, supporting Israel’s efforts to attract more Indian travellers while also facilitating smoother business and cultural exchanges.
“The reinstatement of Air India’s Delhi–Tel Aviv service marks an important milestone in deepening our bilateral relations and making travel more convenient for both leisure and business passengers,” the Israel Ministry of Tourism said in its statement.
Air India had previously suspended its Delhi–Tel Aviv operations amid geopolitical and operational challenges, but the upcoming relaunch reflects renewed optimism in the aviation and tourism sectors of both countries.
