According to PropTiger, a real estate consultancy, housing prices in Ahmedabad have seen a remarkable average appreciation of 45% over the last five years, driven by increased demand for residential properties, particularly post the COVID-19 pandemic.

Data compiled by PropTiger reveals that the average housing prices in Ahmedabad soared to Rs 4,150 per square foot during the January-March period of this year, compared to Rs 2,867 per square foot recorded during the same period in 2019.

The surge in housing prices reflects the city’s resilience amidst evolving market dynamics and changing consumer preferences. Ahmedabad’s real estate market has witnessed sustained demand, attributed partly to factors such as urbanization, infrastructure development, and the city’s economic growth trajectory.

Furthermore, during the January-March 2024 period, the average housing price in Ahmedabad witnessed a notable 10% growth from the corresponding period of the previous year, underscoring the market’s momentum and investor confidence.
